When I think about cufflinks, I never think there is a lot yet to be discovered.

A simple, elegant, classy pair of cufflinks is what always comes to my mind. I simply thought that is how it has always been and how it will always be.

Well, what do you know? It was about time someone proved me wrong.

As part of my recent announcement (no, not that other important recent announcement) about my collaboration with Cufflinks.com, I was offered to review this new collection of moving cufflinks.

I won’t lie. I was initially a bit skeptical about the whole idea of moving cufflinks.

Will the moving feature be too much? I asked myself in all honesty.

I even went as far as to request from them just a simple, timeless, tested and proved pair of cufflinks. It just felt safer, you know, and you know nothing really beats simplicity in style.

But hey, when you agree to collaborate with a brand, you do have to be willing to accept their requests, review their product and provide an honest opinion that is ultimately useful to you, the reader.

And so I went in with an open mind.

Here’s my opinion.

First of all, I was wrong in my skepticism.

While I seriously thought the moving elements of these cufflinks would be overwhelming and perhaps even look out of place, that was really not the case.

The moving elements are actually quite a nice feature of these cufflinks.

They are not in-your-face nor do they consist of extremely intricate moving pieces. It’s all basically moving small and clean gears in basic colors. And that is pretty much it.

Nothing overcomplicated.

No, the designs and elements are kept simple, to the point that perhaps nobody would even notice the movable quality of these cufflinks.

Let there be no confusion here, as a man that does prefer simplicity over unnecessarily complicated designs, I do hesitate with the whole idea of moving cufflinks.

But being completely frank with you, these cufflinks are well placed in the spectrum between simplicity and originality.

I would gladly wear them.

Let me correct that: I gladly wear them, and wear them often these days.

As a matter of fact, I get some cool enjoyment from knowing I am wearing these cufflinks that even though it could be that no one notices their fun features, I still know they’re there.

Are These Cufflinks For You?

You can only respond to that question yourself.

But I do believe you and every man out there can find great occasions to go wear these cufflinks.

For the record, and if you find your style and tastes match mine somehow, the pairs that I received and review here are cufflinks that I would readily wear.

I’ll end just by saying, if you feel like giving these a try and stepping out a bit of your cufflinks comfort zone, there is really nothing to lose by trying this new collection of moving pieces. You may find you become a fan.

Thank you so much for reading this review. If you have any questions regarding these cufflinks, please don’t hesitate to post them in the comment section below, I will be glad to response to any questions you have.
